And now for something a bit different as Sam and Matt go wild at Port Lympne...

We Light It Up are a fun, wild band that love to help you celebrate in style, so we were the obvious choice when Sam and Matt decided to tie the knot at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, near Ashford.

Bride-to-be Sam had booked We Light It Up to provide music throughout the day, and we liaised with wedding organiser Kayleigh to ensure that the day went smoothly. Sam was staying in Port Lympne's luxury Tiger lodge, and had booked a low-key wedding breakfast with her bridesmaids. With orange and yellow lights flashing gently through the morning fog, We Light It Up riffed through some upbeat tunes to get everyone woken up and feeling good. And, naturally, we couldn't resist including “Tiger Feet” in our sound selection!

The afternoon saw guests enjoying everything that Port Lympne has to offer, and, once we'd got everything set up and ready for the evening celebration, which was going to be a fancy dress disco, complete with funky retro dance floor, the band also enjoyed some down time, getting up close and personal with some truly cute animals. The money Port Lympne earns from weddings goes into their conservation work, which is great – you can show your love for each other and the planet, all while enjoying a truly magical day.

As the guests poured in for an evening of musical madness, tripping the light fantastic as We Light It Up took them through a bright, modern medley of songs that were all about celebration (and yes, “Tiger Feet” made the list – again!) we couldn't help but smile as we saw just what the fancy dress theme was – in keeping with the setting, a whole load of two legged animals came in, with stripes, spots, manes, and tails flashing, flicking, and shimmering. The bright colours of fur and feathers looked great against the bright dance floor, and meant that our LED drum kit lights had to work hard to keep up!

This was a fantastic day at a great venue. All the best to Sam and Matt, and thanks to wedding organiser Kayleigh for ensuring everything ran smoothly. We'll definitely be back!
